About Us

We specialise in supporting people who have learning disabilities or autism, who may also have sight loss, to live ambitious lives and achieve things they never thought possible. Whether that is forming more friendships and relationships, enjoying new experiences and activities or finding employment.

This supported living service in Bristol offers purpose-built accessible accommodation for eight adults with a range of disabilities. We specialise in supporting adults who have learning disabilities or are autistic to live independently in their own self-contained flats.

People are encouraged to expand their capabilities and explore and develop links within the local community. Lisa lives at our South Gloucestershire Support Service and says:

"I like being independent and having my own flat. It means that I go out a lot and I’m able to do most things on my own. Having support when I need it is great and so is my key worker."

As a Support Coordinator your duties will include:

  • To strive to produce high quality outputs and interactions both for the people we support and each other.
  • To provide an efficient word processing service including the presentation of review minutes, care plans and letters in a timely fashion.
  • To manage rota’s for Henbury Support Service, ensuring a good working partnership is created with Seniors, bank staff and Agencies to ensure all shifts can be filled and rota’s are out in a timely manner.
  • To manage an effective administrative system that supports all the operational aspects of the service including the provision of accurate records in respect of finance, HR etc.
  • To raise purchase orders on behalf of the service for all related spend and reconcile incoming invoices.
  • To manage Petty Cash and Sundry Expenses expenditure according to SeeAbility’s policies and procedures.
  • To oversee the procurement of services and goods as required by the Registered Manager.
  • To deal with telephone calls and emails in an efficient and effective manner ensuring messages are relayed in a timely manner.
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times, working appropriately with sensitive documentation/ issues as delegated by the Manager.
  • To oversee the maintenance and use of all administrative systems at Henbury Support Service. 
  • To collate and present to the Manager all health and safety annual risk assessments and fire risk assessments, ensuring all documentation regarding health and safety (certificates/ posters/ logs) is appropriately displayed/ stored/ accessible at all times.
  • To maintain all building records according to SeeAbility’s policy’s.
  • To carry out other duties and projects appropriate to the role as requested by the Manager

About you

To be considered for the role, you will need to:

·         Flexible

·         Works with integrity

·         GCSE English or equivalent                                 

·         Ability to navigate and use a PC
