Here at The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust, you’ll find just that – and so much more.

About us

RNBT provides financial assistance and support to Royal Navy and Royal Marines Personnel and their families in times of need.

This year is an exciting year for us, with our Centenary project; a new Care and Nursing home of 66 beds including dedicated dementia care, has recently opened it's doors, Admiral Jellicoe House is a superb addition to RNBT, both for the veterans and families we support and for those seeking a rewarding role in adult social care.

As part of your role at our new care home, your duties will include:

  • Building positive relationships with residents, putting dignity at the centre of everything you do.
  • Supporting residents with day to day living tasks and activities, enabling growth and promoting independence.
  • Providing support at meal times and completing personal care duties as required.
  • Provide assistance to the Care Practitioners and mentor carers within the home.

Why work for us?

We pride ourselves on being a caring organisation that cares as much for its staff as it does for its beneficiaries. Our benefits include:

  • Excellent training, development, and financial support to enable you to specialise in an area of interest such as dementia, infection control, and nutrition.
  • Teaming you up with a mentor who will support you throughout your career.
  • 6 weeks holiday including Bank Holidays.
  • A health cash plan allowing employees to claim back certain dental, optical and therapy costs.
  • An income protection scheme which pays a proportion of an employee’s salary because of illness or injury.
  • Professional Subscription reimbursement where membership of the professional body is a requirement of the role.

To be considered for the role, you will need to:

  • Be able to work flexibly across varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Be able to engage, listen and communicate at a high standard.
  • Assisting with organisations projects within the service that positively impact the home and residents alike.
  • Always reflect our values of community, clarity, commitment, and courage.

To be considered for this role, ideally you will already hold your QCF/NVQ Level 3, but don’t worry if you don’t, as this requirement is not essential. All we ask is you share the company values and have experience within a care setting.
