Job Title: Support Worker (Drivers) – Dudley, West Midlands
Location: Goldcrest | Osprey Mews | Turaco View - Goldcrest Court, Brewster Street, Dudley, DY2 0PH
Salary: £12.31 per hour
Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time) | 22.5-hour part-time options available
Shifts: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM | 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Driving Requirement: Manual licence, 21+ years old, 2+ years driving experience, clean record

What You'll Be Doing – A Day Like No Other!

As a Support Worker, no two days are the same. This is a varied and fulfilling role where you’ll support people with all aspects of daily life, including:

  • Personal care and hygiene support
  • Learning life skills (cooking, budgeting, household tasks)
  • Assisting with eating and drinking
  • Supporting social and physical activities
  • Providing emotional and behavioural support
  • Community outings (shopping, cinema, college)
     

You’ll work closely with adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, substance misuse issues, and mental health conditions.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Drivers aged 21+ with 2+ years UK driving experience (manual licence, clean record)
  • A strong values-driven approach to care
     

Preferred:

  • Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent)
  • Care Certificate
  • 1-2 years’ experience in similar setting (but new-to-care candidates considered!)
