We are a registered charity, caring, educating, and protecting vulnerable children, young people and adults through our schools, care homes, and community and social work services.?

The role:

Nugent House School provides high quality educational setting for the children and young adults we support to enable them to grow and learn in a safe and stimulating yet caring environment. Coming up with creative ideas to teach the children life skills whilst developing the young people to lead independent and successful live is an essential part of this role. There will also be an element of administrative tasks to complete alongside mandatory checks, health & safety and cleaning duties.

Some of the curriculum subjects we offer include: Photography, Music, Dance, Health and Social care, Humanities, Business Studies, among many more. We also work in partnership with local colleges to extend the curriculum into vocational subjects.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to our children ensuring daily tasks are completed including helping prepare them for the day.
  • Helping the students to stay focused during class hours
  • To contribute to the educational and social development of each young person.
  • To come up with creative ideas such as baking, dancing, gardening to encourage the children to learn life skills.
  • To complete and maintain written records.

About you:

  • Experience in a childcare setting (desirable)
  • Passion to help nurture young people
  • Be able to work flexibly around shift patterns

  • Candidates with an active social worker PIN could attract a salary of up to £25,016 Per Annum.

The above position is subject to an enhanced DBS check which is fully paid for by Nugent.
