Job Role: Training and Development Manager
Hours: Full Time – 37.5hrs
Salary: £45,000
Location: Brentford and travel to other locations as required

As the Training and Development Manager, you will be a key strategic senior leader in The Charity, transforming the way services are organised, designed, developed and delivered, putting people we support at the very heart of what we do. 

You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and assessing the Charity’s training program, ensuring it aligns with the organisation’s values and meets sector regulations. You will bring a passion for the care sector and help equip staff with the resources and training to provide exceptional service.

What We’re Looking For:

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the health and social care sector
  • Knowledge of health and social care sector standards for mandatory training
  • A strong understanding of CQC and other regulatory requirements and frameworks such as DoLS/ MCA, safeguarding, MHA and the Care Act
  • An industry recognised training qualification such as Level in 3 teaching and assessing, mentorship award, Moving and Handling trainer or assessor

About the Role:

As our Training and Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with staff to develop and deliver engaging training across the organisation.
  • Communicate with services to identify training needs.
  • Monitor training outcomes and implement continuous improvements.
  • Assist in pilot projects and work with senior members of Frances Taylor Foundation and PSMG to customise training for service needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, whilst ensuring training packages meet best practises and regulatory standards.

About The Frances Taylor Foundation:

Today the Foundation works for people with learning disabilities, and older people. We currently operate in three parts of the UK: Greater London, Liverpool and Merseyside, and Brighton and Hove. Services offered include supported living, care homes, day activities, and nursing care (for older people). We support around 350 people and employ around 400 staff.
