Pay Rate: £23,229 per annum (pro rata). / £11.91 per hour

Hours: Part Time - 20 Hours per week - Weekend Working Required

Location: St. Joseph's Blundell Avenue, Freshfield, Formby, Liverpool, L37 1PH

Shift Patterns: 10am - 2pm

About the role:

As a cook you'll be part of a dedicated team providing quality care and support - this pivotal role involves:

  • Deliver a high quality catering service to the residents in the home. 
  • You will also craft high-quality meals using fresh ingredients, tailored to residents' specific preferences and dietary requirements, or during special celebrations.
  • Beyond preparing delightful dishes, you'll be at the heart of menu creation and supply ordering, all while maintaining impeccable cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.

About you:

In order to be considered as a Cook with us, you will need:

  • To embody our values of teamwork, care, integrity, and respect.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • A kind and caring nature with a passion for enriching lives.
  • At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • A qualification in catering / Food and Hygiene Certificate is required. 
  • Good understanding of HACCP 
  • Experience working with fresh seasonal food & a good understanding of nutrition.

St. Joseph's Home specialises in supporting people with profound and multiple learning disabilities who have complex health care needs. Our facility features beautiful, secure grounds, a hydrotherapy pool, and three sensory rooms with state-of-the-art multi-sensory equipment.
