Job Title: Shift Leader
Pay Rates: £13.92 per hour.
Location: New Copford Place, London Road Colchester
Hours: 24 Hours per week, Nights (8pm till 8am)

Set in the picturesque Essex village of Copford, near Colchester, New Copford Place is a purpose-built residential care home, staffed by a committed and enthusiastic team. New Copford Place is looking for passionate and dedicated Shift Leader to join our team. We provide high quality care services for our residents, including residential and dementia care. Our focus is on promoting wellbeing and enhancing the lives of our residents by providing tailored care to meet their individual needs.
 
What are the duties?
  • You’ll make sure our residents are safe and comfortable.
  • You’ll act as a champion for their safety and dignity.
  • You’ll lead the team in providing quality, individualised care for our residents in line with procedures and policies.
  • You’ll make sure that clear, accurate records are kept.
  • You’ll follow our procedures for ordering, administering and dispensing medication.
  • You’ll maintain a safe, clean workplace and follow infection control protocols.
  • You'll complete personal care, including toileting, bathing, showering, catheter/stoma care, bed changing and more dependant on the needs of the service user, whilst always maintaining their dignity.

What skills do I need?
  • A Minimum NVQ level 2 and or working towards NVQ Level 3
  • 2 years experience leading a team in a care home.
  • Knowledge of MCA, DoLS and Safeguarding
  • Must have experience in handling and administering medication
