Job Title: Day Care Assistant
Contracted Hours: 25hrs per week.
Salary/Pay Rate: £11.07 per hour
Location: Woking, Surrey GU22 8BJ
 
We have a vacancy for a Day Care Assistant at our Woking Day Care service to join the team on a part-time basis. We are looking for a committed person to provide a high standard of practical support to encourage our clients, who are living with dementia, to maintain their independence to enable them to lead a full and active life. 

Applicants must have a caring attitude, can care for clients without direct supervision and is sensitive to the needs of older people.

What are the duties?

  • Enhancing the lives of our clients every day
  • To contribute to the co-ordination and provision of meaningful activities as part of the team for clients according to their needs and preferences
  • Assisting with personal care and supporting with additional needs
  • Maintain clients’ independence, autonomy and choice; promoting dignity, and confidentiality at all times, in order to enable them to lead a full and active life
  • Providing emotional support for our clients and client’s family members

What skills do I need?

Although previous dementia care experience is desirable, this is not essential. We only require you to be passionate about supporting our clients. We’ll provide you all the outstanding training and tools that you need; all we ask is a willingness to learn and a genuine enthusiasm to encourage others to live their lives to the full.
