Location: Walton Manor, 187 Shay Lane, Walton, Wakefield, WF2 6NW

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Hours: Full Time 

Shift Pattern: 7:00am - 5:00pm - 40 hours per week including alternate weekends

About Walton Manor:

Step into the welcoming world of Walton Manor! A serene and luxurious haven for elderly care nestled in Walton, Wakefield. Our home, designed for peace and comfort, accommodates up to 47 residents. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we care for, supported by exceptional staff in a beautifully maintained setting. Walton Manor, a Grade II listed manor house, is surrounded by mature gardens and offers a library and hairdressing salon, stunning gardens and large sunroom, community-focused lounges and dining areas!

About the role:

As a Chef you'll be part of a dedicated team providing quality care and support - this pivotal role involves:

• Deliver a high quality catering service to the residents in the home. 
• You will also craft high-quality meals using fresh ingredients, tailored to residents' specific preferences and dietary requirements, or during special celebrations.
• Beyond preparing delightful dishes, you'll be at the heart of menu creation and supply ordering, all while maintaining impeccable cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.

About you:

In order to be considered as a Chef with us, you will need:

• Have good communication skills.
• A kind and caring nature with a passion for enriching lives.
• Proven chef management experience essential
• Recognised Catering Certificate is desirable
• Level 3 Food and Hygiene Certificate essential
• Have an understanding of Safer Food Better Business (SFBB)
