Job Role: Activities Coordinator

Pay Rate:  £12.50 per hour 

Hours: Part Time - 18hrs per week 

Shift Pattern: 10am-4pm - Alternate Weekends

Location: Walton Manor, 187 Shay Lane, Walton, Wakefield, WF2 6NW

About You:

  • Experience in a similar role, including planning events and activities would be advantageous
  • Some care experience would also be preferable. 
  • To be a sociable and interactive person 
  • Have good time management skills 
  • Be confident interacting with a large group of residents
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Autograph Care Group does not offer sponsorship or work visas. Proof of Right to Work will be required at the interview stage.

About Walton Manor:

Step into the welcoming world of Walton Manor! A serene and luxurious haven for elderly care nestled in Walton, Wakefield. Our home, designed for peace and comfort, accommodates up to 47 residents. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we care for, supported by exceptional staff in a beautifully maintained setting. Walton Manor, a Grade II listed manor house, is surrounded by mature gardens and offers a library and hairdressing salon, stunning gardens and large sunroom, community-focused lounges and dining areas!

Being an Activities Co-Ordinator, you will:

  • Adapting to meet the individual needs of clients.
  • Delivering a programmed schedule of activities with individuals and groups.
  • Encouraging and supporting clients to reach and maintain their optimal level of independence.
  • Encouraging self-awareness, exploration and reflection on feelings and relationships.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effects of the service being provided in order to facilitate client progress.
  • Liaising with the senior staff team on all aspects of the service being provided. 
  • Making best use of effective skills in the use of ICT.
  • Making best use of effective written and oral communication skills.
