About the Care Team Leader Role
As our Care Team Leader, you will:
- Lead & Motivate: Inspire your team to deliver high-quality, responsive, and inclusive care, promoting independence and personal growth.
- Community Integration: Support adults in becoming active members of their community, exploring work, education, and leisure opportunities.
- Person-Centred Approach: Ensure care plans are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the needs and choices of the individuals you support.
- Safeguarding & Risk Management: Promote positive risk-taking while safeguarding the well-being of service users, including conducting risk assessments around finances and personal safety.
- Team Development: Foster a collaborative team culture, training staff on best practices, IT systems, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities of the Care Team Leader
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Supervise and coach your team, encouraging them to achieve their full potential.
- Maintain compliance with care standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide hands-on support to adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours, and complex needs.
- Adapt to flexible working hours, including shifts, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
What You Bring as a Care Team Leader
- Experience: At least 12 months in a similar role, particularly with adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
- Qualifications: A Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 (or a commitment to achieve Level 3).
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and record-keeping abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Email) is essential.
- Flexibility: Ability to work shifts on a rota basis, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
